INFLUENCE OF PARTIAL ROOT-ZONE DRYING ON WATER USE EFFICIENCY AND PHOSPHORUS UPTAKE OF CORN (ZEA MAYS L.) IN A GYPSIFEREOUS SOIL

Pot experiment was conducted to study the alternate and fixed partial root zone drying on irrigation water use efficiency phosphorus absorption of corn (Zea mays L.) in a gypsiferous soil during spring growing season. The included three techniques, which were conventional (C1), alternating root-zone (APRD) (FPRD), levels phosphate fertilizer application (40, 80, 120 Kg h-1), for stages plant growth, jointing stage (40 days from planting), booting (60 planting) maturing (105 planting). carried out with complete randomized design nine replications. Yellow seeds variety DKC6664 planted 20/3/2020. During aforementioned growth stages, development system vegetative parts plants studied calculated each stage. Results showed decrease ratio weight under fertilization three-growth (jointing, booting, maturing). treatment gave grain yield 40.53, 51.44 57.71 g pot-1 40, 80 kg P h-1 significant difference compared treatments. Alternate give highest 0.90, 0.93 0.98 m-3. Higher values recorded CI treatment. high growth. Phosphorous reduced some negative effects shortage reason an increase efficiency.
